Total Privacy, Security, and Light Control
Blackout blinds are an ideal solution for commercial environments where complete light exclusion or significantly reduced illumination is required. Despite the name, blackout blinds are available in a full range of colours — from simple plains to premium designer fabrics — so they don’t need to be black to be effective.
Blackout Roller Blinds – Increased Darkness
Perfect for offices, blackout roller blinds provide exceptional light control, making them suitable for meeting rooms, boardrooms, or any space where presentations are held. While they greatly darken a room, some light seepage may occur around the edges, meaning full blackout is not achieved.
Cassette Blackout Blinds – Full Darkness
Cassette blackout blinds deliver near-total darkness. The fabric runs inside side channels and is fully enclosed within a top cassette and bottom channel. These systems use brush seals or a zip mechanism to minimise any light bleed. Often installed within window recesses, they are ideal for optical labs, photography studios, drama rooms, and editing suites where full darkness is essential.
Blackout Vertical Blinds – Increased Darkness
Blackout vertical blinds offer excellent light control with the ability to rotate the louvre slats from fully open to fully closed. While they significantly reduce light, a slight bleed can occur around the edges and through the gaps between slats. They are well-suited to offices needing adaptable lighting conditions.
Blackout Pleated and Skylight Blinds – Increased Darkness
Versatile and visually refined, blackout pleated blinds are especially effective in skylights and roof windows where managing natural light is challenging. Their concertina-style design also suits standard office windows and glass doors. Although they significantly darken a room, minimal light bleed may occur at the edges.
